Since General Motors out of bankruptcy, GM is now developing innovation through new products. The latest creation from Cadillac as GM include introducing XTS 2013 with the design of fuel injection holes without a cover (capless fueling).
How it works, when the fuel nozzle is inserted, the edges will push two doors. Then, the nozzle will be locked by a rubber seal on the fuel injection holes automatically. Through this two-door system allows the tank remain airtight and do not leak.
The new system will provide advantages for the rider to keep hands clean and free from scratching the paint is often caused by a swinging lid of the tank.
Other advantages, this makes the system without closing our hands no longer need to access it and enable it to be designed smaller and less conspicuous to improve the exterior aesthetics of the vehicle.
Capless fueling is developed due to the fuel pit must be completely sealed. Because if the fuel cap loose as is the case in conventional systems, making the light "check engine" light. Later on the XTS 2013 pit design will be smaller, so they can avoid fuel dripping when done charging.
